Banner Stands
Banner stands are the single most popular type of trade show display. There is virtually no trade show set up of any type or size where you won't find some kind of banner stand display. At small events, trade show banner stands may be the only display in a booth space, along with a table and some literature, and be enough to stand out and get customer's attention. Multiple banner stands can be used to provide additional information, feature products, and help draw more traffic. At shows where a bigger visual impact is needed, banner stands are often used as a back wall, or often in addition to a back wall display such as a pop up or tension fabric display. Using banner stands for trade shows in combination with a back wall display allows them to placed closer to the isle, at corners and in other high traffic areas to provide supplemental information and increase the visual impact of the overall display, which helps draw more customers. Even extremely large and custom trade show displays use banner stands. Trade show banner stands can be grouped in three categories. Retractable banner stands are the most popular style and there are more models and sizes available in this category because they are so popular. Retractable banner stands have a roller mechanism that holds the banner under tension and retracts the banner back into the base when it's not in use. This makes them extremely easy to set up and take down, which is the main reason they're so popular.
Portable banner stands are the models that are not retractable and instead require the banner to be removed and rolled up manually when not in use. Portable banner stands have some advantages over retractable models, including the fact that they have very few moving parts, so even lower end models tend to be very reliable. They are also light weight, having no mechanism, and tend to cost less as well. Because they have no mechanism, the banner itself is usually the full width of the stand, making them an excellent option when using multiple stands together as there would be very little space between them compared to retractable models.
X banner stands are not as popular at trade shows as he other two types, but they are popular in certain situations. They are very simple banner stands that hold banners with grommets in the corners, so when customers already have a banner like that, an X banner stand is the only option to hold it. They are also generally the least expensive of all the styles, which makes them great for short term events. Another advantage they have is that there are several X banner stands that have adjustable width and height, making them a great for odd sized banners, or once again for fitting a stand to an existing banner.
